Teaching and tutoring are welcome. You can share EMS-created downloads with your own students, including in paid lessons. Reselling the resources is prohibited.

Using EMS

These terms apply to the website, tools and resources provided by ECONOMICS MADE SIMPLE LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 16209703. Our registered office is 167–169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF.

By using EMS, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy page explains how information is handled.

Downloads and classroom use

You may use EMS-created resources for personal study and teaching. Teachers, schools and tutors, including paid tutors, may download, print, display and share them with their own students, including through a class’s private learning platform.

Keep any EMS attribution and source acknowledgements. You must not resell the resources, charge separately for access to them, include them in a product sold to others, or republish them publicly without our written permission. Charging for your teaching time is allowed; selling the resources is not.

This permission covers EMS-created material. It does not transfer ownership or grant additional rights over third-party content.

Exam-board materials

Exam questions, past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports, specifications and other third-party material remain the property of their respective copyright owners. EMS does not claim ownership of these materials.

Including an exam-board question in a custom paper or worksheet does not make it EMS-owned. The relevant copyright notices and permissions still apply. Availability to download does not grant unrestricted permission to reproduce, republish or sell a document.

References to an exam board or qualification identify the source or course. They do not imply that the board endorses EMS.

Educational tools and estimates

Our resources help you learn, practise and explore. They do not guarantee an exam result. Topic analysis describes past papers and is not a prediction of a future exam.

Finance tools provide estimates based on the inputs, assumptions and scope shown. They are educational information, not personalised financial, tax, mortgage, legal or investment advice. Check decisions affecting your finances with the relevant official source, your payroll provider, lender or an appropriately qualified adviser.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep EMS useful and accurate, but rules, specifications and circumstances can change. Check the date, qualification and assumptions that apply to the resource you are using.

If something looks wrong, tell us at info@economicsmadesimple.com, including the page and the issue. We may correct, update or withdraw resources, and cannot promise uninterrupted availability.

Responsible use

Use EMS lawfully and respect other people’s access to it. Do not attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code, overload the service or bypass access restrictions. Do not remove copyright notices or present someone else’s work as your own.

In Play with friends, choose a respectful name and do not use it to share personal information. The person who starts a game can remove players, and games are not monitored by EMS. New games may be paused on very busy days.

External websites have their own terms. We do not control their content or availability.

Your rights and our responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

The tools are provided for the educational uses and estimates described above. They are not a professional advisory service or a guarantee of a particular financial or academic outcome.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top identifies this version. Any material changes will be highlighted on the website before they take effect.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction that apply to you.
